Homemade Salsa

We always make our own salsa when we have a Mexican meal, it taste better and doesn’t have the added sugar or preservatives that salsa in a jar has.

Our salsa recipe is super easy and quick and teams well with our homemade guacamole. Give it a go and let us know what you think!

homemade mexican salsaINGREDIENTS

Tomatoes (3x big or the equivalent of Cherry or Grape)
1/4 red onion
1/4 red/green/yellow capsicum
Handful of fresh coriander
Juice from 1/2 lime (other half can be used for guacamole)
1-2 tbsp of Olive Oil
Salt and pepper
Pinch of smoked paprika (optional)


So simple, there is no real need for instructions but just in case…Chop (fine or chunky!) the tomatoes, red onion and capsicum. Add in roughly chopped or torn coriander, lime juice, olive oil, salt and pepper and mix to combine. Thats it your done! Make it fancy and throw in some toasted pumpkin seeds or team with our guacamole and some fresh toasted bread for a bruschetta type affair..oh la la! Or make as a side with our Mexican Rice and Beans meal.
