Homemade Guacamole

Avocados are among my favourite foods EVER! They are delicious and creamy and amazing for your overall health…and skin and hair of course!

Avocados are classed as a ‘healthy’ fat and are great for making you full and satisfied, thus stopping the snacking monster from attacking mid afternoon!

We usually make guacamole (along with our homemade salsa) with our Mexican flavoured meals. Give it a go and let us know what you think!

homemade guacamole recipeINGREDIENTS

1 Avocado
Handful of fresh coriander
Juice from 1/2 lime (other half can be used for salsa)
1/4 – 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1/4 red onion
Salt and Pepper to taste
Dash of olive oil (optional)


Another simple recipe! Finely dice (or keep as larger chunks) the red onion and combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix to the consistency you like. I like mine a lil bit ‘chunky’ but if you prefer smooth whip it up good. Serve as a side, along with our delicious fresh salsa with the Mexican Beans and Rice or enjoy with toast or corn chips. Yum!
