We mostly think of ourselves as having only a physical body and a mind. In Kundalini Yoga:
- the human body is understood to be made up of ten bodies – the physical body, three mental bodies and six energy bodies,
- the effects of each of these bodies can permeate the other bodies,
- by understanding we are ten bodies, and being aware of those ten bodies, we can keep them in balance and be in balance with the universe.
